2000

World TV Group (WTV) was founded in June 2000 as a pay TV network on SKY Digital.

2010

With a growing viewership year-on-year by 2010 WTV launched a mix of additional multi-media channels across radio, TV, online and point-of-purchase digital screens.

2007

Initially a pay-per-view TV network on Sky Digital, in 2007 the service launched New Zealand’s first ever 24-hour free-to-air Chinese TV channel

2010

Subsequently, WTV has become the second largest digital television operator in New Zealand.

Tune in to WTV on Freeview Channel 28 and 29 to watch a wide range of locally produced and imported content related to news and public affairs of special interest to Chinese New Zealanders.
